Debra Chandler Mediation Services, LLC
Mediator, Accountant & Notary.
1980 to 2015 IRS Senior Tax Analyst and National Relationship Manager.
1995 to 2015 Union Representative, Facilitator and Mediator.
2010-2015 Chief Steward/Vice-President of IRS NTEU Chapter 26
I have worked as an Accountant, Revenue Agent, Management & Program Analyst throughout my career. I concurrently served as a union representative, Chief Union Steward, facilitator and mediator for disputes in the workplace, both internally and externally (for my agency as well as employees of other agencies and private companies, including a Fortune 500 company).

From 2007 to 2010, I worked as a National Relationship Manager traveling around the nation fostering partnership relationships between organizations such as credit unions, colleges/universities, military, banks, goodwill and other community organizations and the IRS.

From 2010 to 2015, I was the Chief Union Steward and assisted other union stewards in their mediation and representation of NTEU members.
I have garnered a vast amount of experience since 1995 of representing, facilitating and mediating disputes between labor/management, labor/labor and management/management. During my work tenure, I was trained and completed annual Continuing Professional Education as a union representative. I also completed training as a certified facilitator during my career at the IRS. I concurrently served as a neutral/mediator for employees in the workplace that were not covered by the union bargaining agreement. I have facilitated countless mediation agreements over the last 20+ years. In an EEO case for a Non-bargaining Union employee, I mediated the case prior to case finally having to go to court. I represented the employee during the court hearing and case later ended in a settlement prior to the judge rendering a decision. In a National NTEU case, I served as a mediator first on 30 cases in an effort to reach an agreement prior to having to represent each case in a formal hearing before an Administrative Judge.
I have mediated a plethora of issues, such as child custody agreement, employment disputes (termination, promotion/denial, contract violations, communication/lack, employment rights disputes, changes in conditions of employment, EEOC complaints) landlord/tenant, purchase contract disputes, and much more.
2013-2014, supported two national union attorneys from Washington, DC who represented 150,000 employees nationwide. They traveled to here to Atlanta, GA. In that case, I represented, facilitated and worked as a neutral/mediator for approximately 30 employees in addition to assisting the two national union attorneys with their 150,000 employees. It was a very complex case involving furloughs, budget negotiations and Congressional Statutes.

Of the nearly 2,000 cases I worked over the last 20+ years, I specifically worked as a neutral/mediator for approximately 25% or 500 of those cases.
Up until 2015, I would travel to Washington, DC annually to meet with national union leaders to vet and reach agreements on issues to work towards obtaining agreements with Legislative leaders on Capitol Hill.
