Prior to becoming a mediator, Mr. Lane litigated hundreds of cases as an Assistant United States Attorney and in private practice at a small litigation boutique and Littler Mendelson, P.C., the world's largest labor and employment law firm. As an advocate, Mr. Lane was passionate about representing his clients. He was equally comfortable representing clients of all sizes and types, including individuals, corporations, and the United States. Some cases went to trial, but the vast majority of clients were best served when cases were settled in mediation. And mediation is where Mr. Lane excelled.

As a mediator, Mr. Lane works creatively to maximize the potential for settlement. His dynamic approach allows him to ensure that all parties are genuinely heard and understood during the mediation session, while also facilitating opportunities for the parties to effectively evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each claim. This approach fosters an ability for parties to make informed decisions about the case while increasing the rate of settlement.
Matt Lane helps parties resolve disputes. While his approach varies between mediations, each session reinforces his commitment to exploring every avenue of resolution with honesty and unrelenting neutrality, while maintaining confidentiality and respect for the views of counsel and their clients.
