Practice Rob has been mediating since 2012 after completion of initial and advanced mediation training conducted by the West Virginia State Bar. To enhance his mediation skills, Rob attended and successfully completed the American Arbitration Association's Mediation Training in June, 2016, in Washington DC. Rob has continued to enhance his mediation skills by again completing the West Virginia State Bar's Advanced Mediation Training in 2017, and Labor Law Arbitration training in Boston, MA, in 2018.

After graduation from West Virginia University in 1988, Rob enlisted in the West Virginia State Police. Rob served as a state trooper from 1988 to 1998, working as both a uniformed trooper and a plain clothes investigator. Rob returned to WVU in 1998 to attend law school at WVU College of Law. Rob graduated from the WVU College of Law in 2001. Following graduation, Rob worked at a well established Logan area law firm. In 2010, Rob opened his own practice in Chapmanville, West Virginia. Today, Rob continues to operate that practice focusing primarily on personal injury matters. Rob also represent clients in other civil and family law matters.

Rob completed a basic mediation training program required and presented by the West Virginia State Bar in 2010; in 2012, Rob completed the West Virginia State Bar's advanced mediation training. In June, 2016, Rob successfully completed the American Arbitration Association's mediation training that was conducted in Washington DC. In 2017, Rob again completed the West Virginia State Bar's advanced mediation training and completed Labor Law Arbitration training in Boston, MA, 2018.
Since beginning his mediation practice, Rob has mediated over 150 cases in various matters including personal injury, property damage and family law.
Rob's primary mediation focus is in the area of personal injury, wrongful death, property damage, and insurance coverage issues.
On more than one occasion, Rob has mediated multiparty personal injury cases involving insurance coverage issues.

In addition to conducting mediation sessions as a neutral, Rob frequently is involved in the mediation process on behalf of his clients in personal injury and property damage cases; and on behalf of his small business clients.
In mediation sessions, I attempt to aid the respective parties in seeing and understanding each other's position based upon the relevant facts. I also inform the parties that mediation likely is the best opportunity for the parties to resolve the issue in controversy while maintaining some control over the matter.

Following the initial and advanced training by the West Virginia State Bar, and prior to beginning his mediation practice, Rob shadowed Charlie Piccirillo, a well respected mediator in West Virginia for approximately 10 mediation sessions. Since this time, Rob regularly has been conducting mediation sessions involving personal injury and property damage matters.
In June, 2016, in order to enhance his training, Rob attended and successfully completed the American Arbitration Association's Mediation Training in Washington DC. The AAA provides mediators to parties on cases administered by the AAA under AAA mediation procedures. Mediations that proceed without AAA administration are not considered AAA mediations, even where parties select a mediator who is a member of an AAA mediation roster.
